Properties / Link Apartments

Located in the Fauntleroy Triangle, just across the bridge in West Seattle, Link was envisioned as a connected apartment community — linked to transit, downtown Seattle, downtown West Seattle and recreation – that would provide a walkable, car-free lifestyle. The project’s name also refers to the link between old and new, expressing the history of the area and its bright future.

When Link was envisioned, this micro-neighborhood was undergoing a rapid transition, from car dealership parking lots and under-utilized storage buildings to what would eventually be a vibrant mixed-use neighborhood. In the midst of this, there was an intense amount of construction activity in the neighborhood and community residents and stakeholders were looking to ensure that any new developments truly added something to the area.

Our approach centered on collaborating with the community and sought feedback on retail tenants and design features that would best suit residents as well as neighbors. In the end, the building served as a catalyst for the transformation of the neighborhood and acted as a true link between the existing fabric and the area’s future growth.
